Our History
University Presbyterian Church [UPC] began as a church plant of the Presbyterian Church
of the USA [PCUSA] in May 1991 for the UCLA campus. UPC is a mission of
the Presbytery of the Pacific to the University. Originally we began with a small number
of people, but have transformed into an intergenerational university community. UPC exists to
influence the lives of those who are drawn into the community, including undergraduates, graduate
students, alumni, staff and faculty from UCLA. We continue our journey to influence lives for
Jesus Christ.
